Tomorrow we are embracing Valentine’s Day with a wall of love at Kuoni HQ! A chance to spread some positive vibes, we’re asking you to email your love notes to us at love@kuoni.co.uk by 4pm.
It can be a soppy, sickly ode to a loved one; a cheeky note for someone you’ve taken a shine to; a thank you to a friend who has been good to you; hey, you can even tell us how much you loved your last holiday.
From 9.30am tomorrow, we’ll be personally handwriting each one on a heart shape note and sticking it to the wall of love. You’ll be able to see the best ones throughout the day on our Facebook page, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, Flickr and Instagram and all entries will go into a prize draw at 4.30pm to win a £50 John Lewis gift card!
So, get involved and have a fantastic Valentine’s Day! x
Terms and conditions:
Only one entry per person. The prize winner will be the first entry drawn at random after the competition closes at 4pm on 14 February 2013.
The prize is a £50 John Lewis gift card.
The competition is open to residents of the UK and Eire. Employees of Kuoni and their families, households and agents are eligible to enter for fun but cannot win the prize. Usual promotion rules apply.

About Laura Daniel
Editor, Kuoni Travel Blog
Laura’s first round-the-world holiday took place at the age of five. Her passion for travel was sparked and she later became a writer on motoring magazines, driving through the Sahara, up glaciers in Iceland and, here’s the glamorous bit, camping in Wales. She’s worked at Kuoni since 2008 as a copywriter, editor and social media contact.
We put Laura through the big five…
1/ Where’s the best place you’ve ever stayed?
It has to be Kanuhura in the Maldives. I had my own beach villa and personal butler. I came in one evening and he’d run me a bath with petals, complete with Champagne and strawberries dipped in chocolate. It’s a shame I was there on my lonesome! The food at Kanuhura was amazing, too; trying fresh sushi by candlelight while listening to an acoustic guitarist. Heaven on earth.
2/ What’s your oddest travel moment?
I was staying in a hostel in Salzburg and went to have a shower in the block. The cleaner was already in there and, still holding my dry clothes and towel, I asked if it would be OK to use one of the showers she’d cleaned. She looked up, started shouting at me and hosed me down with cold water. I slopped back to the dorm trailing water in stunned silence!
3/ What are your suitcase essentials?
Mosquitos find me juicy so I always take some Avon Skin So Soft dry oil spray with me. I was on a trip in Scotland and some locals told us about it, as they suffer by the lochs during the summer months. I’ve no idea what is in it and it’s not advertised as mosquito repellent but it works a treat!
4/ Have you had a perfect travel moment?
Yes, I was in Tunisia and we were driving 4x4s through the Sahara. The sun was going down and we were in the middle of the dunes, hours from anywhere. We pitched our tents and I walked to the top of a dune to just sit and watch the sun go down in a blazing orange haze. The stars in the sky that followed were astounding, splashed across the inky sky. We started a fire, pulled up our chairs and I produced a bag of marshmallows. My companions agreed that it was, without doubt, the only useful item I had taken with me on that trip!
5/ Where’s next on your wishlist?
The Atacama Desert, salt flats, fjords, glaciers and Torres Del Paine National Park – Chile is top of my wishlist at the moment. For a chilled out vibe, Coco Palm, Bodu Hithi in the Maldives has always taken my fancy. I’d also like to try one of the volunteering holidays in our Ananea brochure. My wishlist grows daily working at Kuoni!
